Preko has the real Mediterranean atmosphere with an attractive promenade and numerous cafes and restaurants. Fans of Mediterranean landscapes can enjoy the unforgettable panoramic view from the Venetian fortress; St. Mihovil`s Fort from 13th century, Church of St. Ivan from 11th century.
It is a small fisherman town located on the southeast island of Ugljan, surrounded with romantic sea coves, intimate valleys with crystal- clear water, thick forests of pine and fig trees, wine yards and olive groves. Kukljica has access to two coasts – in the north and south. In addition, the proximity of the Ždrelac pass that leads to the Kornati National Park and Nature Park Telašćica makes it attractive to sailors.
Kali has traditional annual fishermen evenings the celebration – of Sv. Lovro (St. Lawrence) where local population along with visitors enjoy entertainment that lasts until the early morning hours. The settlement has a rich gastronomic offer out of which the fish specialities – shell fish, fish, shrimp and lobsters are at the forefront, followed by lamb, cheese, Dalmatian prosciutto and domestic wine. Above the village there is a small hill from which you can enjoy a stunning panorama, dominated by the church of St Lawerence and it beautiful tower bell.
Island Olive Marina
Olive Island Marina is located in the small village of Sutomišćica, on the NE coast of Ugljan Island, 1.5 miles NW from Preko ( the small town on Ugljan) and 3 miles west of the city of Zadar. This marina is located in the vicinity of beautiful sailing destinations on the surrounding islands, which offer a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful environment and excellent food. Olive Island Marina is a newer marina, very nicely decorated, with all necessary facilities such as shop, restaurant, coffee bar, swimming pool and sanitary facilities. The marina is located around 2 km from Preko ferry port, and can be reached from Zadar airport in less than an hour.

Getting to Island Ugljan
By ferry to Ugljan: from the Zadar’s ferry port Gaženica go to port of Preko in the island of Ugljen. The journey time is approximately 25min. Check out the ferry schedule.
