If you are spending your vacation in Šolta, do not miss a one-day excursion of the island of Hvar with the boat of Kairos, the town of Hvar and its sights and the island of Brač.
Punta Maslinica Beach
In the place Maslinica, on the island of Solta, there is the beach Punta. There is a beautiful promenade to the beach, and we can say it is one of the most popular. By boat or boat you can go to the adventure around the islets, on the beach Punta you can find beach bar, props for sports activities and facilities for children.
Taste delicacies of the island
Some of the traditional dishes we recommend you to try are: Black risotto, Dalmatian smoked ham, Octopus under the lid, Fish brudet, Dalmatian pasticada and various types of fresh grilled fish with vegetables.
For dinner – and the best restaurant on Šolta in our view – visit Restaurant Pasarela in Luka Rogač (Rogač Bay) on the opposite side of the small island. The staff here is on top of it, and the chef serves up a wealth of delicious local fare, like octopus salad, shrimp buzara, pasta, risotto, and – of course – freshly caught Adriatic fish.
The Jewel of the Island
Hotel in Heritage Martinis Marchi
An old castle that has been transformed into a beautiful hotel is located in Maslinica on the island of Šolta. The castle, which houses a hotel and restaurant, was built in 1703 years ago. Elegance and comfort are the guiding principle of the detail, but the special details of modern design give a touch of luxury. A wonderful terrace in Mediterranean style hides a delicious offer of home-made dishes. I do not have to say anything special, this picture speaks for itself.
Village and settlements on Solta
At the edge of the Šolta field, at the crossroads of the road connecting the two most distant places on the island, Stomorska and Maslinica, leads to the Rogač harbor, the Grohote settlement. Grohote is the largest town on Solta, the town is located 2 km from the ferry port in Rogač.The 17th century defense tower is located in the village, and in the field near the village, the Gothic church of St. Nicholas Mihovila with 14th century frescoes. The center of the place itself makes irregular narrow streets, and as such give the old Mediterranean charm.
Is located on the northeastern part of the island. Stomorska still has the charm and idyll of a fishing and seaside town, which is reflected in the original stone facades of buildings in the old nucleus of the town. Along the promenade there are numerous restaurants, shops, post office, beach bar, bicycle rental and scooter, outdoor tennis court, diving school, boat excursions according to your wishes.
Necujam is a tourist resort and resort in the same bay on the north coast of the island of Šolta. It divides it into 9 miles of beautiful blue Adriatic. Beautiful paradisiacal beaches on both sides of the bay, this long promenade will enchant you at any time of the year, and during the summer heat, cool down in the clear, clean sea and relax in the shade of pine woods.
Today Maslinica is an attractive tourist mecca, and has been awarded the national prize as the best tourist spot. The core of this place consists of old stone houses, several restaurants, bars and shops of original souvenirs. The old manor house built at the beginning of the 18th century dominated this place, renovated as a hotel with a top restaurant, SPA and beautiful marina.
It is located on the north side of Šolta. Rogač is the central bay with a ferry port and catamaran. Nearby are beautiful beaches with crystal turquoise water. It is ideal if you want to explore the entire island during your vacation.
